Jonah and the choices we make (Week One challenge)

After reading the first part of Jonah then here is your first challenge.

Jonah was called to a specific task by God, to “Go at once to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it”. But Jonah ran from the presence of the Lord. (Jonah 1: 1-6)

Reflecting on your first reading we take the questions that Denis McBride set and the choices we can make. So your first challenge is following this reading is to take half an hour to ask yourself

1) Who are you?

2) Where are you going in life?

3) What forms your outlook in life?

Based on that reflection what choices are you going to make? You may find it helpful to talk to someone you trust in your church.

Reading Denis McBride’s book Journeying with Jonah? You may want to read Part One - The First Mission alongside this week’s reading.
