Week Two - From Bondage to Freedom
Adeyinka Olushonde, Slavery Truth Project Research Support Officer, leads the second of our Lent course sessions for 2022.
In summary, the theme of this Lent session is how pride and fear can come between us and God and therefore lead to oppression and injustice. Furthermore, this Lent session draws parallels between how fear leads Pharaoh to harden his heart in Exodus and how fear impacts us in our daily lives. Overall, this Lent session emphasises that God liberates the oppressed and we must remain humble and faithful.
To support us in the challenge, Liverpool Cathedral is hosting six weekly online sessions with videos and discussion exploring the themes of the book.
