Read - the whole story

Many of us read the Bible in small chunks splitting it up into a bit at a time. While it’s a great way of reading the Bible, it’s not the only way. And often that’s not the way it was intended to be read in the first place.

How many of us get a letter or an email and think "I’ll just read the first paragraph and then I’ll wait a week until I read the next bit”?

We don’t tend to do that, so why do we do it with, say, Paul’s letters? They are a lot longer than the letters or emails most of us usually get, but they were still written to be read all in one go.

Most of the books in the library of books that is the Bible were meant to be read out all in one go, from beginning to end. So why not have a look at the long view of the whole story?

You’ll find three short video clips by The Bible Society (each three and a half minutes)
